Advisory Board Member
Neill Blue is a proven corporate leader with an impressive track record of successfully growing profitable organizations. He is an Advisory Board Member for EveryIncome — an online platform and income solution company where users learn how to improve their income, partner with the right experts, gain insights, and access institutional-quality income products and services.
Mr. Blue started out his career as a classic Big Four CPA and rapidly moved through finance and operating positions of progressively increasing responsibility in the construction, real estate investment and asset management, and power infrastructure, energy and IT services industries.
Most recently, as the head of a $350 million Mission Critical Services division of Schneider Electric, a $25 billion Global Energy Solutions firm, Neill has utilized his leadership, operational skills, and financial talents to guide his team to exceed service sales and gross & contribution margin targets while holding the line on hiring and reducing support function costs.
In this role, Neill’s leadership facilitated the development of strategic plans to successfully position the company as “best of breed” — enabling successful efforts to land major Fortune 100 clients, and spearheading profitable growth from 120 employees in four cities to over 300 employees in eight cities. Neill also worked with the CEO to handle multiple overtures from various suitors and investors, leading the internal due diligence, strategic planning and identification of synergistic opportunities. These efforts culminated in the successful sale of the company to Schneider Electric in 2011. Neill subsequently played a key role mutualizing the finance and operating teams into the Schneider’s organization.
Neill’s previous experience also includes directing and managing the U.S. investment activities of a foreign family primarily in the areas of real estate investment, asset management and investment. He also played a key role in identifying and managing non-real estate investments such as start-up companies and small businesses. This experience provided insight dealing with diverse cultures and people in solving complex business challenges.
Over his career, Neill has continued to expand his management skills, including “both sides of the desk” experience in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. His experience leading and performing integrated due diligence with a focus on financial, operations and business strategy from pre-deal to post-deal integration, will be of great value to another privately held company that has not yet reached its full potential — or to an investor seeking to grow its portfolio.
Neill’s interpersonal strengths include his effectiveness as a skilled, “win-win” negotiator — from private equity firms and private investors to Fortune 50 Customers, Vendors, Suppliers and strategic alliance partners. His managers, peers and direct reports describe him as “analytical and decisive, skilled in quickly building consensus … customer-focused, market-driven problem solver … Equally effective leading a team or contributing as a high impact player on the leadership team.”
