John (Jack) Konther

John (Jack) Konther is an Advisory Board Member for EveryIncome — an online platform and income solution company where users learn how to improve their income, partner with the right experts, gain insights, and access institutional-quality income products and services.

Mr. Konther is an attorney admitted to practice law in New York. He graduated from Muhlenberg College in 1967 and received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Brooklyn Law School in 1971. In 1974, he received his Masters of Law (LL. M) in Taxation from New York University.

From 1971 to 1976, Jack was a staff trial attorney for the Legal Aid Society’s Criminal Defense Division. He joined Conboy, Hewitt O’Brien & Boardman in 1976 and was a partner in that firm from 1983 to 1986. As a result of the merger of Conboy with Hunton & Williams, Jack became a partner of Hunton & Williams in 1987 and remained such to his retirement from that firm in June 2015. Since 1976 to his retirement from Hunton & Williams, Jack’s practice focused on employee benefits (ERISA) and his clients included several of the largest consumer products companies in the United States.

Jack has served as counsel to a number of investment committees responsible for investing the assets of both pension and 401(k) plans. He was also chairman of one such committee which was responsible for approximately $1 billion of pension and 401(k) assets. He continues to serve as an adviser to an investment committee for pension and 401(k) plan assets.

He has served on a number of boards of directors of not-for-profits and currently serves as Trustee of a number of trusts established by his clients.

Jack continues to practice law as a sole practitioner. His hobbies include bicycling and outdoor activities.
